When I shut down and reboot with HDD1 swapped out for an SSD it won't boot to the UI. I've tried variations off these, the HDDs are sound and the SSDs are sound. But the box won't boot without at least 1 of the old HDDs in either bay. Really weird.

Any help would be great, thanks a mil

Johnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11382859797793327160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7764963136414541684.post-33972474272795613642020-12-30T01:21:42.658-06:002020-12-30T01:21:42.658-06:00I got mine to cool down by about 20F by removing t...I got mine to cool down by about 20F by removing the pwm pin on the fan connector, forcing it to run 100% all the time. If noise bothers you this won't be the best solution, but it was simple and reversible and now I'm not as worried about my expensive Exos drives.Samirhttp://www.huntsvillecarscene.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7764963136414541684.post-27548487921583880492017-04-28T08:55:24.671-05:002017-04-28T08:55:24.671-05:00U know I have the same ix2-200 and I've never ...U know I have the same ix2-200 and I've never used so much because I thought it was too hot and slow. I was thinking of replacing the drives to have better performance and a cooler solution. Mine jus gets too hot every time with the original disks.

I wanted to ask you how do you see your temps now. With the old drives mine is around 57 Celsius on idle.

Great job!!carlos silvahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01833969762431131123noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7764963136414541684.post-57699951805691649752011-07-29T12:18:33.110-05:002011-07-29T12:18:33.110-05:00You've confirmed what I though was true in bei...You've confirmed what I though was true in being able to simply replace one drive in the array with one of a different size and have it successfully replicate the boot partition. Disk one has failed in my IX2-200 and I would like to easily upgrade it to 2TB disks in the process of replacing the failed one. Since one disk is still operational it seems like it would work exactly as you've stated here.yargnadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04574331420266224561noreply@blogger.com
